EXCELLENT Based on 206 reviews Posted on Google JFGTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I absolutely dread it when my AC goes out!! Its unbearable and its usually costly. Especially if its during the weekend. And who the hell knows how long it'll take to get a tech to even look at it? And that's exactly what happened this weekend. So I called a well known company after browsing their reviews. I refuse to name them because I'd rather not advertise them. I knew there would be a service charge, maybe even an extra fee just to look at it but I needed the repair done right away. Not to mention the "hourly rate" and or the cost of the part for the repair. I bit thWhen I called they said they weren't available till the next day. So the following day I waited several hours passed the scheduled time, he called to say they weren't available till Monday after all. So I called Air Time and spoke with Micheal Eisenhauer and was able to get an appt THAT DAY. He came over and took one look at the AC and knew exactly what the problem was. And just like that, he fixed it in no time. I'll just say the cost of the part and the time it took for him to fix it was significantly less than I would have paid had I gone with the other company. He didn't charge me with some BS fee for hours he didn't spend working. He was honest and fair. WHICH IS WHY I WILL CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS WITH AIR TIME and recommend them immensely to all my friends and family. Its also because it's the little things that make a huge difference as well. Micheal went above and beyond to the point of following up with us soon after the repair. He even called a couple days later. He was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned. In short, Micheal was amazing and his service was top notch. You don't see that level of customer service these days. That's why I would recommend Air Time whenever you need top notch service at a fair price. I promise you...you won't regret it!Posted on Google Devin CastletonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike was professional, fast and very helpful. He knew right away what the problem was with our system. Luckily, he came out and found another issue and resolved it as well before we had bigger issues. Super nice guy! Highly recommend!Posted on Google Everett AllenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the pleasure of working with Air Time Heating and Cooling for an HVAC replacement. Bad timing for our AC to quit, so we really appreciated the quick response time. Mike was able to get us an estimate within 24 hrs and installation in under a week (would have been even faster but we were waiting on other estimates). The install team was efficient, friendly and professional. What really sets Air Time apart is that it is a smaller company with a genuine personal feel. You aren’t just a ticket number - you can tell Mike and his team truly care about their customers and take pride in their work. On top of the outstanding service, their pricing was very competitive and fair. They also offered solid warranties on both parts and service. So far so good, no issues with the new system. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Posted on Google Greg ScheirmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My a/c would not cool below 78 degrees. I called Air Time and Mike came over. He cleaned the outside unit and showed me how it works then he troubleshot the condenser and electrical components explaining what they did and what the symptoms of failure looked like. Mike then examined the thermostat… it always did strange things on its own. Mike didn’t like the thermostat so he replaced it for free then moved to the indoor unit and explained the bobber device that shuts the unit down if the condenser pipe was flooded. It was, Mike blew the pipe and the house cooled. Over the next week I received three follow up texts to make everything was still working… I got an in person tutorial on my a/c system, a thermostat, and working a/c for a price that was half of the other quotes. I am a teacher so price is a big consideration. I have recommended Air Time to all of my peers… For price, expertise and professionalism call and ask for Mike!Posted on Google Jen MerloTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I referred Air Time to my neighbor, they came early the next morning and fixed the problem. Mike’s team showed her what was wrong and repaired the damage in a timely manner. They were honest and extremely professional. She was very impressed with how well they cleaned up the damage afterwards and would recommend them for any HVAC work moving forward.Posted on Google Jessica McNealTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service! I called them before 7am and they were able to come out the same morning. The tech was polite, professional and took the time to explain everything in detail. He explained all of the preventative maintenance to keep our system working at it's best. Especially for same day service, the pricing was more than fair. Highly recommend.Posted on Google Mary StaffordTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The tech arrived early and was very polite and went to work right away. Improper AC installation is the #1 cause of premature HVAC failure in San Antonio. An oversized unit short-cycles, fails to control humidity, and wears out components years ahead of schedule. An undersized system runs constantly and still can’t keep up in August.
At Air Time LLC, every installation starts with a proper evaluation of your home’s actual cooling requirements — not a guess. Our licensed technicians assess square footage, insulation, window exposure, and duct condition before recommending a system size. That’s how we deliver consistent comfort, lower energy bills, and systems that last 15+ years in the Texas climate.
No two homes are identical — and neither are AC installation costs. Here’s the realistic range San Antonio homeowners can expect for a full system replacement, based on current equipment and labor pricing in our market:
*All pricing listed is a general estimate and may change depending on your home, equipment selection, and installation needs. For a personalised quote, call Air Time LLC to schedule an evaluation at 210-772-6623
1. System Type & Brand: Central AC is most common. Heat pumps offer year-round efficiency but cost more upfront. Ductless mini-splits are ideal for additions or rooms without ductwork. Brand, SEER2 rating, and model all affect price.
2. SEER2 Efficiency Rating: Texas now requires a minimum of 15 SEER2 for new AC systems. Upgrading to 18–20 SEER2 costs more upfront but can cut your monthly CPS Energy bill by 25–40% — savings that add up fast in San Antonio’s 8-month cooling season.
3. Ductwork Condition: If existing ductwork is leaking, undersized, or improperly routed for a new system, duct modifications will add to the project cost — but skipping this step limits your new system’s performance from day one.
4. Home Size & Zones: A 2,000 sq ft San Antonio home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Larger homes or multi-zone setups require more equipment. Correct sizing via Manual J calculation is critical — bigger is not better.
5. Add-Ons & Accessories: Smart thermostats, whole-home dehumidifiers, air purifiers, and UV lights improve comfort and air quality — and each adds to the total investment. We’ll explain what makes sense for your home, not just what costs more.
Unexpected HVAC repairs or system replacements can put stress on your budget. Air Time LLC offers flexible financing options for HVAC installation, air conditioning replacement, heating upgrades, and major HVAC repairs so you can restore comfort without unnecessary delays.
We work with trusted financing providers to help homeowners and businesses invest in reliable, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems with manageable payment options.
San Antonio summers put more strain on AC systems than almost anywhere else in the US. Most failing systems give clear warning signs weeks or months before total failure — recognising them early lets you plan a replacement on your schedule, not in a panic during a heatwave.
Key indicators include:
In a city where outdoor temps hit 105°F, your AC should still be able to maintain the setpoint. If certain rooms never cool down, no matter how long the system runs, the unit is either undersized, failing, or was never properly installed for your home’s layout.
An aging AC loses efficiency every year. If your summer electric bills are rising without a change in usage, your system is working harder and longer to deliver the same cooling. A high-efficiency replacement can cut that cost by 25–40%.
One repair every few years is normal. But if the HVAC company is becoming a regular visitor, you’re financing a slow replacement at full price with no warranty and no efficiency gain.
San Antonio’s humidity is brutal. A properly functioning AC system removes moisture as it cools. If your home feels sticky, muggy, or “swampy” even with the AC on, the system is likely oversized, aging, or failing — and no longer controlling humidity the way it should.
Grinding, banging, rattling, or squealing are serious warning signs. Musty smells can indicate mold in ductwork or the air handler. Puddles or excessive moisture near the unit suggest a drain problem or refrigerant leak — all require immediate attention.
Regular maintenance keeps a good system running. But when it’s time for a new installation or full replacement, the quality of the install determines everything: system lifespan, efficiency, comfort, and warranty validity. A poorly installed premium system underperforms a correctly installed mid-tier unit — every single time.
At Air Time LLC, our licensed technicians handle every step — system selection, removal of old equipment, full installation, refrigerant charge, duct connection, thermostat wiring, and final performance testing. We don’t send a helper to finish the job. We leave when your home is cooling the way it should.
Choosing the right HVAC company is as important as choosing the right system. A wrong installation voids warranties, wastes energy, and creates years of headaches. Here’s what makes Air Time LLC different from the dozens of other AC companies competing for your business in San Antonio.
